Festival Newsletter - May

Now that the warmer weather has arrived, plans for the Parish Festival are in full swing. So many exciting things are going on!! Pierogi making schedule - the sign-up sheet for volunteers is located in the church vestibule. As you are aware, making pierogi for a 2 day festival is a big project. Please consider donating a few hours of your time. Weekend and evening hours are available. Even if you have never made pierogi before, your hands can be put to good use. It is a great opportunity to learn and socialize.

Raffle tickets will be mailed to all parishioners this month. Please place your returns in the collection basket in an envelope clearly marked FESTIVAL RAFFLE. If you require more tickets, you can contact the rectory, or Paula and Gene Niksa at 508-248-4237. We are very excited to bring the big prize raffle back to the Festival. We will be looking for teams of volunteers to sell raffle tickets in shifts at Park n Shop and Marty's in June/July. An announcement will be made when we have firm dates for those sales. We will also be looking for people to sell tickets at the Festival. Shift sign ups will be posted as the festival draws near.

Country Gift Basket Raffle - we are combining the Country Store and Special Gifts in to one booth this year!!! We will be accepting donations of Gift Baskets to be raffled off as prizes. This will be presented and explained to all parishioners at a weekend Mass in June and a sign up sheet will be in the church vestibule. Individuals, or groups of individuals, can put together a gift basket for the raffle. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parishioners who are pulling together to make this 2 day festival a success. One person cannot do it alone - it is with the help of many, many willing hands and minds that an event like this takes place. Your historical knowledge of festivals past and your dedication to your parish is gift, not taken lightly. Thank you all for making the Chairman's job a little easier!! Next Festival Meeting is Monday, June 6 at 6:30 p.m.

Baked Fish Dinners During Lent!

Starting February 3rd thru Easter... Baked Fish Dinners will be available once more during the Lenten season, starting on Ash Wednesday, continuing each Friday during Lent. Servings are at 11:30-2 p.m. and 4-6:30 p.m. Eat in or Take out is available, $9.50 for adults and $5 for children. We look forward to seeing you!!

Parish Christmas Dinner - Dec 19

Your Pastor invites you to join him for Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 19, after the 4:45 Mass.   A wonderful meal is being planned and you are invited to enjoy an evening with your parish family. We will share the Christmas wafer (opłatek) and sing some Christmas carols (kolędy) as well.

A sign-up sheet is located in the church vestibule. So the proper amount of food can be prepared, please sign up by Sunday, December 13th. While Father Chris is sponsoring the main meal, there is also a list of items that can contributed to supplement the menu, should you be interested in bringing something.

This is a wonderful opportunity to share the blessings of the Christmas season with fellow parishioners.   We are looking forward to seeing you on December 19!
