Eucharistic Adoration

I am pleased to announce our plan for Eucharistic Adoration in our parish during the coming Holy Year of Mercy.

On Wednesdays starting December 16th, beginning at 3pm, we will have Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. There will be sign-up sheets in the church vestibule to schedule half-hour to one hour periods for this adoration. In the gospel of John (6:35), Jesus tells us "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst."

Please consider spending personal time with Jesus and adoring him during the Holy Year of Mercy.

Also on Wednesdays, Confession will be offered from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The Holy Rosary will be prayed starting at 6:00pm. Mass will then be celebrated at 6:30pm followed by praying the chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Join us in venerating the Image of The Divine Mercy and a first class relic of The Apostle of Divine Mercy, Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska.

Encourage others to accompany you. Jesus' Heart overflows with great mercy for souls. Now is the time for mercy.

Pastor Letter - Feb 2015

Pastor Letter - Feb 2015

Dear Parishioners,

At the beginning of the New Year the results from our parish survey were presented at each Mass.  I would like to sincerely thank each and every person that took the time to complete this survey. One of the most popular comments on the survey was that most people are willing to help with events, but don't know how much time they can commit. By giving a small amount of your time, you will not only be helping to build your parish, but you will be building our parish community as well.  I am so pleased that we started the coffee social every month on Sunday after 8 and 9:15 Masses. It helps me as your pastor to meet you and talk with you.
I had a very good meeting with my parishioners at the end of January and we planned to create two main events in our parish for this year:

1.      We want to offer you a Fish Dinner on Fridays during Lent.  We need some volunteers for this event, a few people to help set up, to cook, and to clean up afterwards. If you want to help please call Marlene Plaza. Proceeds from the Fish Dinner will be for the heating system in the rectory.

2.      We also decided to start again our Parish Festival in August. A festival like this will require many hands, many volunteers and many types of talents (young and old alike).  I understand that St. Andrew Bobola hosted festivals in the past, and they were very successful.  I also understand that we cannot simply jump to a large festival in less than a year, but we CAN make a beginning.  It would be nice to make it an annual event. Our goal is to hold a one day festival this year on Saturday, August 29th. Cinthy Iwanski was elected to be a chairwoman of this festival.  We need to have monthly meetings to prepare for this. There will be activities that require teamwork, and there will be the opportunity to meet all the good people that make up our parish. Please consider attending these meetings and events and help to write the next chapter in the exciting journey of St. Andrew Bobola Parish.

3.      Many of you may not be aware of the heating problem in the rectory. The Finance Committee has been involved in this and we were hoping to be able to correct this in the future, however due to recent problems, the system needs to be addressed now. The upstairs in the rectory seems to have enough heat, but due to some electrical problems with the system, we are not able to heat the downstairs where the church offices are located without an emergency system to keep the wires from overheating. I plan on meeting again with the Finance Committee about this problem and begin a budget outline to fix it. Because this is a safety issue with outdated wiring, we will need to also speak with the diocese about the cost and the financing of this project.

Thank you for you continued support and prayers. All information about all coming events will be posted in our bulletin.

God bless you. Fr. Chris

 Moi Drodzy Parafianie,

Wielu z was dobrze pamięta jak wspaniałe festiwale były organizowane w latach poprzednich. Do tego potrzebna będzie wasza pomoc, o którą was serdecznie proszę. Andrzeja Boboli. Dziękuję wszystkim dobrym ludziom za pomoc, życzliwość i polecam was w moich modlitwach. Niech Pan Bóg Wam błogosławi.

Ks. Krzysztof
