Festival Newsletter - May
Now that the warmer weather has arrived, plans for the Parish Festival are in full swing. So many exciting things are going on!! Pierogi making schedule - the sign-up sheet for volunteers is located in the church vestibule. As you are aware, making pierogi for a 2 day festival is a big project. Please consider donating a few hours of your time. Weekend and evening hours are available. Even if you have never made pierogi before, your hands can be put to good use. It is a great opportunity to learn and socialize.
Raffle tickets will be mailed to all parishioners this month. Please place your returns in the collection basket in an envelope clearly marked FESTIVAL RAFFLE. If you require more tickets, you can contact the rectory, or Paula and Gene Niksa at 508-248-4237. We are very excited to bring the big prize raffle back to the Festival. We will be looking for teams of volunteers to sell raffle tickets in shifts at Park n Shop and Marty's in June/July. An announcement will be made when we have firm dates for those sales. We will also be looking for people to sell tickets at the Festival. Shift sign ups will be posted as the festival draws near.
NEW THIS YEAR!!

This will be presented and explained to all parishioners at a weekend Mass in June and a sign up sheet will be in the church vestibule. Individuals, or groups of individuals, can put together a gift basket for the raffle. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parishioners who are pulling together to make this 2 day festival a success. One person cannot do it alone - it is with the help of many, many willing hands and minds that an event like this takes place. Your historical knowledge of festivals past and your dedication to your parish is gift, not taken lightly. Thank you all for making the Chairman's job a little easier!! Our Parish Festival was a great success, so I'm glad to hear positive feedback, and I appreciate the hard work of my parishioners who contributed to this success. Thank God for the beautiful weather and good people who helped us organize our festival again.
We would like to thank Cindy Iwanski, who coordinated the work of Festival committee.
Thank you for all the donations and for preparing delicious food. We all very beautifully prayed during the Mass with music performed by the Eddie Forman Orchestra. The festival has brought us all together in a way this Parish has not seen in a long time.
On Saturday August 29th, St. Andrew Bobola in Dudley celebrated its Parish festival.
The event that was held in Parish for the first time in five years... so it was a big challenge for the pastor and parishioners to assist in the preparation of this event.
One of the highlights of the festival was the mass itself. The very solemn mass, the so-called. "Polka Mass" was celebrated in English and Polish. At the end of the Mass, anthems were sung: Polish and American. - It was evident that the gathered people were moved, participation in the Eucharist turned out to be a big experience for them - Fr. Krzysztof Korcz reported.
The Festival provided many attractions for the guests. Raffle, games and contests for children and of course...delicious food Everyone could find something interesting. The kids were especially delighted by face painting and the possibility of making huge soap bubbles. Authentic Polish food was everywhere... and many enjoyed the stuffed cabbage and dumplings - says Fr. Korcz and stresses that all the dishes prepared personally parishioners. - I am much grateful for this commitment! - He added.
