PROGRAM:
Day 1
Check-in group at the airport. Meet with your English tour guide. Night flight to Rio De Janeiro. Hours of flights to be confirmed.
Day 2
Arrival in Rio De Janeiro in the early afternoon. Transfer to the hotel. Holy Mass. For guests, a welcome dinner in a churrascaria Brazilian restaurant. Walk to the famous Copacabana beach. Free time.
Day 3
Breakfast and city tour - visiting the Cidade Maravilhosa (Wonderful City), the Old Town, Largo da Carioca, the Monastery of Santo Antônio (the oldest sacral building in Rio from 1608), the Cathedral of St. Sebastian (96-meter temple, which can accommodate 20,000 faithful at the same time). Holy Mass in the cathedral. Then drive past Arcos da Lapa (17th century aqueduct), Praça XV de Novembro (residence of the royal family), Maracan stadium. Drive through the beach of Ipan Leblon. After a short rest, use the cable car to Pao de Azucar (Sugarloaf - 396 m above sea level). The Sugarloaf boasts a 360 degree panorama of Rio with beautiful beaches: Copacabana, Leblon, Ipanema and we will try to see a beautiful sunset in Rio de Janeiro.
Day 4
Breakfast. An all-day trip to Petropolis, founded in 1843, a mountain residence ruling Brazil in 1831-1889 by Emperor Pedro II. Petropolis is a resort surrounded by lush gardens, a souvenir of imperial Brazil. Cathedral of St. Peter of the Alcantara-Holy Mass, in which there are the tombs of the last emperor of Brazil - Pedro II and his family. Visiting the Imperial Museum from the outside and the Crystal Palace. Optional visit includes a tasting of the Bohemia brewery. In the evening return to Rio de Janeiro.
Day 5
Breakfast. Transfer to the Corcovado Hill (710 m above sea level) with the statue of Christ the Savior towering over the city (Cristo Redentor), a cable railway through the forest of Tijuca. The wagons have great views of the mountain and the city. The figure of Christ with his arms spread creates the sign of the cross.
Return to the hotel. Holy Mass.
Free time.
Day 6
Breakfast. Transfer to the Green Coast to the historic town of Paraty, which is a pearl of colonial architecture and a seaside resort at the same time. Mass at the Church of Our Lady of Remedies.
An evening walk through the streets of the city and relax at the Atlantic Ocean.
Accommodation in a hotel.
Day 7
After breakfast, an all-day boat trip between the islands of Paraty Bay.
Swimming in the ocean, diving and relaxation on board the ship.
Day 8
Breakfast. Early departure and full day tour of Sao Paolo.
Overnight in Sao Paolo.
Day 9
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight to Iguassu Falls. Then visit Parque das Aves, a beautiful garden in the Brazilian jungle. For those willing to fly by helicopter over the Iguazu waterfalls. And then short journey to one of the most beautiful natural wonders, entered in 1986. on the UNESCO World Heritage List - Iguaçu National Park. The river, cascading down into the abyss, constantly spraying droplets of water, thanks to which wonderful rainbows are constantly drawn in the sky. The Devil's Gorge (Garganta do Diablo) stands out in the extraordinary scenery - waters from 14 separate waterfalls with a deafening roar roll off a 90-meter high cliff. A great day trip to the waterfalls.
Evening Holy Mass.
Day 10
Breakfast. A day trip to the waterfalls from the Argentine side. Crossing the border with Argentina and crossing the narrow gauge railway to the beginning of the tourist trail in the National Park. Walk along the 1.5 km long pier to the edge of the Garganta del Diablo waterfall. On the way back we will stop at the famous Hilo Tres Fronteras, where the Iguazu River flows into the Parana River and the borders of three countries - Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay - converge.
Return to the hotel.
Optional: an evening folklore performance; "Rafain Show "with performances by artists from Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.
Day 11
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport in Rio de Janeiro for flight to Boston.
